Anders Wingård

About Anders
Anders Wingård started "blowing glass" as early as 1970, and practically ever since then he has been his own master. From 1986 and on he is shaping his glass objects in his studio/workshop in the small fishing village Baskemölla, in the south of Sweden.

In the creative process Anders uses traditional handicraft methods. The major part of his production is made up of glass for everyday use. Be it wine or water, they are both perfectly served in his glasses. His most famous object is the ice cube glass, with a readymade ?ice cube? in it. And moreover: his huge bowls and his tulip pots, as well as his glass balls in cobalt blue for gardens ? all of them characteristic and popular.
